Mary Arden's House
This was the childhood home of William Shakespeare's mother, Mary Arden. Nearby Palmer's Farm has recently been transformed back into a working Tudor farm from the 1570s. Here, you can see people in costume carry out farm work – milking cows, growing veg, working the fields and cooking on the open fire.

Shakespeare's birthplace
Visit the house where Shakespeare was born in 1564, and where he grew up. You can learn the story of his childhood, watch a glove maker practising his father John's trade, and see where William spent the first years with his wife, Anne Hathaway.
