TIMESHARE: HOLIDAY HEAVEN OR HELL?
Monday 17th September 2007
Timeshare is becoming trendy again as companies have sharpened up their act, and memories of dodgy deals fade away. There are still a few shady operators who'll rip you off, but there are also some good organisations that want to sell you a worthwhile deal for years of happy holidays.
A recent EC regulation gives you more protection, via a minimum cooling-off period, in case you change your mind about tying up thousands of pounds in a long-term holiday scheme.
What's timeshare all about?
You buy the right to use a holiday property for a week (or more) each year.
What is fractional ownership?
This and holiday ownership and vacation club are the same as timeshare. Fractional freehold is different because you're buying a real share in the bricks and mortar.
