After a drama-packed 2006 in Holby City, which ended with the trauma of laying Tricia to rest, Sharon Maughan deserves a holiday more.

'Having worked so much, a holiday for me is a rest in the sun,' she smiles.

But it's not all sandy beaches and light reading, as Sharon reveals her real summer ambition: 'What I'd really like to do, if I had more time, is to explore troubled parts of the world and help people. That would be a holiday for the soul.'
