Why did you move to Portugal?
We'd been on holiday a few times before we decided to sell up and move over here in September 2002. We fell in love with the people and the country straight away. We live in Lagos, the jewel in the crown of the Algarve.

How do your lives compare?
In Lagos we live in a very large house with our own swimming-pool. In England we lived in a three-storey property and things were really expensive.
